Do I need a bundle plugin for Shopware at all?
Shopware now ships a bundle feature of its own — new, explicitly labelled a preview and only in the Evolve plan. Other extensions cover a lot of the same ground. This page puts all three side by side: where everyone is level, where they differ, and where this plugin itself hits a limit.

The basis is the manuals, store descriptions and changelogs published at the time of the check; not found means not documented, not technically impossible. Feature sets change continuously, and the respective listing is always what counts. All details refer to self-hosted Shopware, because this plugin is installed as a classic extension; which Shopware versions the current release supports is kept up to date in the store listing.
Common questions
Can Shopware do bundles on its own?
Recently yes, with limits. The native feature is explicitly a preview, requires the Evolve plan, knows no free quantity per component and no fixed package price. For a fixed package with a percentage discount it is enough; as soon as quantities, package prices or the handover to a warehouse system come into play, it is not.
What is the difference to other bundle extensions?
On the basics, little: fixed packages, deselectable components, percentage discounts and fixed amounts are documented by all four vendors checked. The difference lies in the handover to the warehouse system — the discount line as a standard Shopware voucher, and own product numbers for the container and the discount, we found with none of the four.
What can this plugin not do?
Two things sit in the table. A bundle can only be maintained in the system language, not translated per language. And with mixed tax rates only the percentage discount is split proportionally; an absolute amount and a fixed package price carry the tax rate of the main product across the whole discount.
Why does the middle column say "common" instead of a name?
Because the column summarises four vendors rather than rating a single one. "Common" means all four document it, "some" around half, "rare" individual ones. If you want to compare a particular vendor, its store listing holds the authoritative state.
Does the native feature apply to the Community Edition?
No. It requires the Evolve plan or higher. Extensions, by contrast, also run in the Community Edition as long as the shop is self-hosted.
